Sand - Grit Separator wwtp CLS

This equipment is separates sands by extraction, in wastewater treatment of various sector municipal or industrial. It is also called sand classifier or sand washer.

Composition of Grit removal:
– a decantation hopper
– U-section through
– A shaftless screw conveyor, conveniently go into proportion, for extraction, transport and unloading sands

The wastewater (water + sands / grit) enters the hopper through a flanged inlet: here, decantation and settling of the solid particles takes place on the bottom of the tank. The special screw conveys the separated material toward the discharging spout.

The clean water comes out of the hopper thanks to an overflow system linked to a flanged outlet. The low rotational speed and the special anti-wear covering fixed on the transport section assure an high efficiency and a low wearing of the machine’s internal parts.

Advantages of Grit separator:
– Design and manufacture customized
– No mechanical parts in contact with the sewage
– Low erection and maintenance costs
– Possibility of sand washing before discharging
– Completely close machine

Sand - Grit Separator "Coanda" Washer CLS/LC

Grit – sand washing CLS / LC separate and wash sand from wastewater of various nature: municipal and industrial of different types. It consist of a large conical hopper for sand setting, sedimentation and washing, and a tubular screw for conveying and dehydration the collected material.

The conical shape of the hopper, the special counter-washing system and the low rotational internal stirrer allow the machinery to wash the sands and separate the organic matter. This equipment is completely enclosed by sealing and cover in order to avoid the odours and contamining matter outcoming.

Functions of Grit Washer:
On the upper part of the hopper there is a flanged inlet introducing the material to be treated in the machine. The conical shape of the hopper and the movement system through the low rotational stirrer make a twirl enabling the sand washing and setting. The heavier sand particles settled on the bottom of the hopper where a counter-current system allows the washing; therefore the washed material reaches the coupling linking to the screw.
On the side of the hopper there is a proper outlet allowing the outcoming of the lightest material. The screw on the bottom of the machine is able to extract the collected material, dehydrating it and uplifting it towards the outlet in order to convey it in a container.

Tangential DTP Desander

Solid material, with a high water content, enters the hopper and is deposited in the tank.

The first water immediately exits through the holes located at the bottom of the channel, then the material begins to rise to the top of the compactor, the thick mixing blades, with a slow rotary motion, transport the material to the top of the tank. During transport, the material begins to drip and in the last part of the tank, a door, with variable pressure, compresses the material before letting it out.

At this point, the material, squeezed and without water (approximately 40% reduction) ends up in special containers, the water collected at the bottom and at the top of the channel is collected in a tray and sent to your treatment.

To prevent deposited solids from clogging the extraction tube, the sand trap has a release tube that ends at the bottom of the tank near the extraction tube.

In case of occlusion of the extraction tube, the passage of solids can be reactivated with the help of a water jet at a pressure delivery through the release tube.

Benefits of Tangential Desander:
– Custom equipment
– High flow rates
– High efficiency in water-sand separation
